Lock In – 29/10

The night was fab with some people joining us from PCY.

We walked along the new Church Village bypass, and I assure you we walked along the footpath and not the actual road!

It was a long old walk from Pontypridd back to the Church, 3 hours in total, but all 31 made it back without any problems, but we did get very wet in the rain!

Once we were back at the church, we put Avatar up on the big screen, a few games on the Xbox in the kitchen, and some good social time in the other rooms.

Most of us eventually went off to sleep anywhere between 3:30 and 5:00, but there were a few hardcore nutters that stayed awake all night, verified by Hannah Lewis one of the leader still playing table tennis at 7:00 in the morning!

For the first time in a very long time, rather than physical games, we set up the pool tables, and table tennis, as well as the X box (with new games), and different meeting rooms.

Genesis – 11/10 – Compassion

We had some quizzes tonight, and for what I think could be recorded as a first in the history of Genesis, the Mikes’ team actually won a round!

Tonight’s talk was all about Compassion UK, Hannah explained what the charity was all about, and shared about her own experience with Compassion and the children that she sponsors.

Eb youth are going to sponsor a child from compassion collectively, and we’ve also started something we’re calling ‘Keep the change’. Take a look at our Compassion page for more info.

The church got a new X-box tonight, and it was well received.

Food based games this evening, Quickest to eat competitions, to food quiz, guessing what country food comes from.

Tudor Price led our talk, based on his own testimony, and asking a few simple questions as a result.

Our newly formed band led an amazing night of worship, and Jacki spoke about us being a light to the world.

So again we split the church into different zones, and also tried out a few new games, and surprisingly cricket worked in a low ceiling room!

Sadly though we had a few complaints, apparently the PS2 is too old to play on, so thanks for the feedback! We’ll look into getting that updated!

Genesis – 27/09 – The Cube

Games were based on the TV game show the cube. teams put forward a volunteer to attempt each round with balls bouncing into cups, and clothes being pegged out.
